　Chido Museum with many historical buildings in Tsuruoka. You can also visit the interior of the historic buildings lined up. This garden was located behind the former Mikakuden, the lord of the Shonai domain, Mr. Sakai. There is a pond on the north side of the former Mikakuden, and there is a artificial mountain on the opposite bank. It is said that the date of the creation is not known, but it is said to have been made in the mid Edo period.

Mr. Sakai's garden outside the inner moat of Tsuruoka Castle Ruins is open to tourists as a Chido Museum. It was built as a garden of the Sakai family that governed Tsuruoka. The garden is splendidly made only by the Sakai family, which was famous as Fudai daimyo of the Tokugawa family, and is one of the scenic spots.
