Zhejiang Tiantai Shifengxi National Wetland Park is located in the middle of Tiantai County, east to Shifeng 2 Bridge, west to Pingqiao Qianshan, east and west 10 kilometers, the average width of the north and south is 420 meters, the total area of the area is 424 hectares, including the land area 248.8 hectare, the water area 175.2 hectare. The pilot construction of the national wetland park began in 2014, and the national pilot acceptance was passed in 2019. The wetland park is based on the Tiantai Mother River, which is the main body of Fengxi. It belongs to a typical river wetland, including two types of permanent rivers and flood plain wetlands. It retains the original ecological wetland style and is an important ecological conservation area and climate adjustment area of the rooftop. It also contains the long history and culture of the Tiantai area. Tiantai County is known as the "state of cultural relics" and "Xiaoyulu", which is the source of Buddha's zongdao and the beginning of "Xu Xiake Travel Book", and Shifengxi is the earliest release river in the world, and it is also recorded in "Xu Xiake Travel Book". "Religious culture", "Hehe culture", "Xu Xiake culture", "Tangshi Road culture in eastern Zhejiang" and characteristic folk customs, etc., have created a unique human landscape resources of Shifengxi National Wetland Park. Shifengxi is a typical river wetland ecosystem, is a transitional zone between water and land, high landscape heterogeneity, high community diversity level, suitable for a variety of biological growth. Both sides of Shifengxi have both mountains, hills, basins, plains, and the twists and turns of Shifengxi make it have mainstream, tributaries, river bays, jet streams, shoals, Jiangxinzhou and other habitats, and the habitat types can be described as rich and varied. Plus, the good water quality of Shifengxi is suitable for fish, waterfowl, amphibians, birds and other large numbers of animals to survive, live, and shelter, and is also conducive to the growth of submerged plants, water plants and terrestrial plants. Plants are layered or banded, vegetation types are rich, and community types are diverse. The banks of most of the Shifengxi River remain in a natural state, without human-hardening measures, which is more conducive to the energy flow, material circulation and information transmission of the ecosystem. At the same time, Shifengxi also has the functions of fresh water supply, water supply, material production, biodiversity maintenance, environmental purification, disaster regulation, leisure and entertainment, cultural incubation. Therefore, Shifengxi wetland ecosystem maintains high integrity. The complex and diverse habitats in the park are good growth places for plants and a variety of animals. The project area is distributed with 165 species of 142 genus and 291 species of vascular bundle plantings and 32 species of vertebrates and 80 species of vertebrates. Among them, there are 47 families, 156 species of birds, 8 families, 37 species of reptiles, 10 families, 52 species of fish, 6 families, 21 species of amphibians, and 9 families, 25 species of mammals, with rich species diversity. In wild plants, there are 4 species of protected plants at the national level of the state; in wildlife, there are 16 species of protected birds at the national level of the state.
