It seems that there is a temple with the same character and sound in Higashiomi, but this is the oldest Soto sect temple in Gifu Prefecture. Since it is a Zen temple, the history is generally shallow, but it is still a temple of the Soto sect that is said to have been built for his mother in the year ６６０ year, and the Lord of Imasu, Shigekage Nagae, built for his mother in the year １３６０ year. The stone lanterns lined up on the approach are quite magnificent. The main hall is also profound. The official name is Myokei Zenji.

When I visited Imazu-juku, I saw a magnificent temple along No. 21, so I went there. It was named Myokeizenji. It is said to be the oldest temple of the Soto sect in Gifu Prefecture. The temple is divided into JR and Road 21, and there is Jizo in front of the narrow viaduct leading to the temple. The precincts were neat and fish lived in a small pond surrounded by books.
