Spanish Style House of the Honda Clan

Part of the Higashi Park grounds, the house was originally built in Tokyo in 1930s and moved to and rebuilt in Okazaki in 1990s. It belonged to a descendant of one of the Tokugawa Ieasu deputies. Wh...

Suddenly れる Simple Enemy な Foreign Hall

    Original Text

It is a Western-style building that suddenly appears in Higashi Park. Why suddenly in such a place? I think, but I see, it was relocated. It is said that it is the residence of the Honda family related to Okazaki City, but Tadatsugu himself does not seem to have a deep connection with Okazaki. On the day I visited, I held an exhibition of glass vessels. It's a nice place, so I hope more events will be held.

There is no impact inside as much as the impression from the outside

    Original Text

Tadatsugu Honda, a descendant of the Honda family of the former Okazaki feudal lord, relocated a mansion built in Setagaya in 1931. At first glance, it is a stylish Western-style building, but it has no impact inside as much as the impression you see from the outside. Maybe Tadatsugu Honda's sense was not good either. On the other hand, the exhibition is related to the Honda family, who was the owner of Okazaki Castle.

    A beautiful Western-style building

    Original Text

The Western-style building next to the East Park of Okazaki, the residence of Mr. Honda, a descendant of the Okazaki feudal lord, was relocated in Setagaya Ward. The lawn in the garden was under maintenance, but it would be beautiful if it got warmer, and when you enter the room, there is an office and the staff will guide you. Many Western-style buildings where Japanese people lived are "Japanese and Western eclectic", but the Japanese-style rooms are arranged on the second floor and you can feel the atmosphere of the time, and stained glass is used in the bathroom. Opening time 9:00 ~ 17:00 Closed day: Month ...
