" Lake Temple Site " is located in Liangzhou, Xuanwu Lake Park, Nanjing. It is rumored to be a shrine built in the Ming Hongwu years to commemorate the elderly with the surname of one Mao. The folk also called " Mao Lao Temple ", and later renamed " Lake Temple ". The original temple was destroyed in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom during the Qing Xianfeng to Tongzhi period. The existing buildings were rebuilt in Tongzhi 11 years (1872) when Zeng Guoqi was Governor of the two rivers. The main buildings include the Lake Temple, Guanyin Pavilion, Daxian Building, Lotus Hall and Huxin Pavilion.
