Museum history
This is in the old school building and has all the history of the mines and schooling. It was very interesting to go through it. It cost $8 per adult. Worth it
The train ride was interesting and fun. The train driver and the recorded narrator provided a wealth of knowledge. You must also visit the sweatshop across the road from the train station.
Excellent. Was so interesting to learn about the history of the mine. We went on with our 4 young children aged 6 & under. The toddler & baby were very restless but it was still great for all ages
Excellent museum. Displays are well presented and there is so much there. Perhaps one of the best museums I have visited. Betterbthan the Museum of Australia in Canberra I think. Limited opening hours...

Exceptional country town museum
One of the best country town museums I have visited I was amazed at the collection of memorabilia. Such a grand building. We just loved it.
