【Introduction】Shaanxi Mount Taibai National Forest Park is located within the territory of Meixian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is the main peak of the Qinling Mountain Range and the highest peak, 【Baxiantai】, with an altitude of 3771.2 meters. It is known as the 'Spine of China' and the 'Dragon Head of the Central Plains'. It serves as a dividing ridge for the climate, geography, and water systems between the north and south of the mainland, as well as the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. As the main peak of the Qinling Mountain Range, Mount Taibai is distinctly majestic, strange, beautiful, and secluded, with a perfect combination of mountains, forests, water, and atmosphere. Its towering presence and ever-changing climate have always been the aspiration of literati and poets since ancient times. The total area of Mount Taibai National Forest Park is 5253 hectares, divided into 10 major scenic areas with more than 180 attractions, spanning altitudes from 620 to 3771 meters. It was established in 1991 with the approval of the State Forestry Department and officially opened to the public in July 1992. In February 2001, it was honored as one of the 'First Batch of National Civilized Forest Parks'. In November 2016, the Mount Taibai scenic area was promoted to a national AAAAA-level scenic spot. The original plan was to climb Mount Taibai on May 25, 2024, but due to rain, it was postponed to the next day, the 26th. We entered the scenic area at 8:30 in the morning after purchasing tickets at the visitor center (admission ticket 90 yuan, sightseeing car 60 yuan). There are 3 attractions at the foot of the mountain with stops. After a 30-minute (about 17 kilometers) drive, we arrived at the first attraction 【Lotus Peak Waterfall (altitude 1350 meters)】 at 9:00; at 9:20, the second attraction 【Ink Splash Mountain (altitude 1450 meters)】 to see the Taibai Winery; at 9:50, the third attraction 【Peach Blossom Land (altitude 1550 meters)】; at 10:35, we reached 【Red Birch Flat (altitude 2300 meters)】, took the cable car to the mountain (cable car ticket 120 yuan, 20 minutes), and arrived at 【Heaven and Earth Square (altitude 3511 meters)】 at 10:58. At the summit, at 11:45 we walked to 【Nature Reserve Gate (altitude 3460 meters)】. Unfortunately, the gate was closed, and we lost the opportunity to climb the main peak of Mount Taibai, 【Baxiantai (altitude 3771.2 meters)】. We walked back, at 12:08 【Shangbansi】; at 12:28 【Baixiantai】; at 12:34 【Bansi New Village】; at 13:02, we took the small cable car down the mountain at 【Fuyunge (altitude 3200 meters)】 (cable car ticket 50 yuan, 20 minutes); at 13:25, we arrived at the last attraction 【Xiabansi (altitude 2800 meters)】 for a visit. At 13:35, we took the sightseeing car (42 kilometers, 110 minutes), and returned to the 【Visitor Center】 at 15:00. The whole journey took 6 and a half hours, covering more than 75 kilometers.
