Turning up the heat in Chengdu!🔥🔥🌶️🌶️
#yearofrabbit
City 2/3 in our #lunarnewyear travels was Chengdu! 🐼🌶️🎭
Chengdu has many local trademarks, which makes it a great city for exploration! When in Chengdu, every tourist should make time to:
1. See the pandas! 🐼🎋
2. Watch a face-changing performance at a tea house🍵🎭
3. Try Sichuan’s spicy cuisine, more specifically, hotpot!!! 🥘🌶️🔥
Our mouths were burning from the spicy flavors (you can see a photo of how RED the broth is from all of the peppers and spicy oil!) we had to buy several cups of milk tea 🧋 to get us through the meal. 😅
Face changing shows are a big part of local culture, and so entertaining! It’s kind of like a kung-fu meets magic show, where the performer will change his opera mask in the literal blink of an eye! 🪄🦹🏻🔮🎭
The panda park was also super interesting and educational. It was really cool to learn about how they are protecting this endangered species. 🐼
Last (but not least!!) the Leshan Big Buddha. Built over 1200 years ago, this magnificent sculpture hand crafted by dedicated Buddhist monks was breathtaking to say the least. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site, man-made marvel, and something you should definitely put on your bucket list!!
If you get the chance to go to Chengdu, GO!! 😆 We loved this city, and definitely plan to return.❤️

Very famous stone Buddha statue, now the state is very protected, let us visit historical relics, the big Buddha stands on the riverside, and the city of Leshan across the river, it is still very good to visit early during the day.
I deliberately chose to go to Taopai Leshan Buddha on the first day of the New Year. Although it is crowded, the Leshan Buddha will not disappoint every time. The Buddha always gives people a sense of calm, solemn and awkward. The worship on the first day of the New Year was successfully completed.
The first time I came to Leshan Giant Buddha, the VIP ticket we bought was very convenient, especially the ordinary ticket on May 1st holiday, many people were queuing, we made a sightseeing car ➕ small business car to the top of the mountain, all the way from the Buddha head down, Lingyun Temple, Daxiong Palace. The guide sister arranged for us is so beautiful and speaks very well. Let us feel the hard-won construction of the Big Buddha for the first time, and we finally served the lamp here. Come to feel the fate of the Buddha and go back to take away peace.
The classic is superb, that is, there is a little rain on the day, there are not many people, the family is very happy, the mountain is not very high, and it is not very tired. The parking lot outside the attraction is not very good, a bit tattered, not very formal.
It is worth visiting. Very shocking Buddha, there are temples in the scenic area, and the garden design of the whole scenic area is very good. There are temple Buddha statues in the renovation. The transportation facilities are also very convenient, the lights will be on at night, and it is a scenery.
I am honored to have the opportunity to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha in the off-season. Very shocking Giant Buddha. There is no queue, orderly visit, plenty of activity time, take pictures 📷 you can find your favorite location. Very worth punching in the places of interest. The unexpected harvest is that I also saw the cliff tomb. The scenery of the whole mountain is also very beautiful, a ticket 🎫 is actually visited three scenic spots. For tourists who like to understand Chinese history and culture and appreciate cultural relics, this route can be planned with the Samsungdui Museum and many museums in Chengdu.
Landmark scenic spot, it is worth taking a look at Leshan, go to the East Gate parking lot, very close to the entrance, there is a free sightseeing car into the scenic spot, you can sit at the entrance of the scenic spot, brush your ID card into the scenic spot. Personally, I think Lingyun Temple is more worth taking time to see than the Big Buddha. The carvings on the wooden doors inside are allusions to the Buddha Gate, which is very artistic and worth watching carefully. If you don't get off the Buddha's feet, you can finish shopping in an hour. Come out and take a sightseeing bus back to the East Gate to pick up the car.
It is worth going to the Leshan Giant Buddha Tourist Scenic Area, not hard. Climbing to the Buddha's top, visiting the temple, and the scenic car is free to the cruise ship terminal, and it is comfortable and convenient to visit the river to see the Buddha! Dongshan even cruises to see the Buddha, 3-4 hours can be completed. There are many volunteer young militias in the scenic spot, and they enthusiastically answer various questions from tourists, which is greatly praised! !
