The building is good, but I won't go again.
Original Text
The work of Kazushi Wakita with a bird motif is exhibited. The atelier and home were preserved in the courtyard, and it was written that there was a cafe space. At the entrance, I was told to see it from the 2nd floor and went to the 2nd floor. There are only three guests in total (and only passing each other), but the chatter of the grandmothers (the content is a complete public story) was heard from below, and it echoed on the second floor, and it was noisy. Is there a museum like this? ?? I was surprised. I wonder if I can hear the chatter of customers from the cafe ...
A museum that exhibits the works of painter Kazushi Wakita. Exhibitions are changed every year and special exhibitions are held. There is a little parking space near the back of the entrance of the museum. You can slowly admire the works in a large space from the 2nd floor. Another highlight of this museum is the relocation of Kazuo Wakita's atelier Sanso, a masterpiece of modernist architecture designed by Junzo Yoshimura. You can't tour the inside, but this mountain villa and courtyard are also very nice spaces.
A museum I found while taking a walk in the greenery of former Karuizawa. Until November 18th, we are doing 「 Wakita Kazu's World Exhibition 」. I first learned about a painter named Wakita Kazu. Born in 1906, he went to Berlin at the age of 15 and entered Berlin National School of fine arts. Imagine the times, and I looked around the paintings, but they were not necessarily bright colors, but they were soft and warm works. When I suddenly noticed, almost all the paintings were bird motifs ...
At the museum, which is a short walk from Karuizawa Station to the old light, many oil paintings and watercolors by Kazushi Wakita were exhibited. Many of them are based on nature and children, and the atmosphere is very warm. It was a museum where my heart was relaxed.
A museum with a gentle curve. The adjacent home is also built by Junzo Yoshimura. It is a playful and interesting building. The light leaking from the ceiling of the museum like Japanese paper softly illuminates the painting. It was a healing space.
