The colour of the lake is marvellous!
In the neighborhood are 3 lakes with awesome colours. We visited them all in a few hours. If we had more time we probably stayed there for longer time

The hike to Peyto Lake is moderate to the viewing platforms which offer excellent views. If you continue onward to the meadows you will expend another 2 hours. Parking at the upper lot is restricted...
Excellent walk for families with kids.
Our 3 year boy made it easily. It took us about 15-30 min one way. The view was breathtaking! You can bring your lunch there. It was quite windy, so take a jacket. You can even make it with a stroller...
PERFECT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Bow Summit is the highest drivable pass in the national parks of the Canadian Rockies. It is a beautiful sunny drive and Peyto Lake at the Bow Summit turnoff is a sight to remember.
