Don't bother
Castle closed, museum closed. Town is down at heel and shabby. Library cafe by the river is modern and welcoming though no food due to staff illness when we visited. Plenty of shops but no soul. Locs...
The lady at the museum desk was very informative, polite and welcoming, was a lovely visit with my niece and granddaughter, they enjoyed the museum and the castle grounds.
