A real feel of Aivazovsky
A small but truly genuine museum. The guide gave an excellent tour around giving some interesting fact about the way Aivazovsky worked. For example, I didn't know he painted the sea from memory.
I was lucky to visit the gallery, though I had to stay in an" hour and a half" long queue and it was raining on that day, The administration organizes excursions with letting not more than 10-15 peo...
I was here as part of a coach party the gallery is very interesting as was the tour which was in Russian the paintings were very old and priceless which made the whole visit worth the effort
Fine collection, I really do like the painter but if was very hot inside the gallery. It felt sometimes that you can still smell the fresh paint, it was so hot inside.

Beautiful painting
Surprisingly, such beautiful paintings are in such a poor environment. The area is far behind the advanced needs. But the art gallery is beautiful.
