Getting There - Taxi or car from Chenzhou takes about 30 minutes. Close to Fetian mountain. Gaoyiling scenic area is an amazing place for walking and hiking and seeing awesome views. The landscape is interbedded red sandstone hills with steep drops into rivers and small lakes surrounding. The views are simply awe inspiring. When walking around here I would recommend a sun umbrella, sun screen and lots of water. You can buy water and other drinks here from the locals. There is a 20RMB charge to enter the hiking trails. When high on some hills take extreme caution near edges as the drop offs are steep and lethal, some are not fenced off. The only downside is the hills have quite a lot of trash so make sure to take yours home with you and be a good tourist.
