Glaze Memorial Archway

In Hanwa, no examples of burning colored glaze were found. By the Tang Dynasty, the tricolored glaze ornaments were everywhere. On this basis, the glaze process gradually matured, and then it was widely used in building materials. The reality of the glaze archway is a matter of water to the canal. The glazed products of the Ming and Qing generations have developed to the peak, and the wooden arches of these two generations have mostly used glazed tiles to highlight the royal nobleness, and simply completely use gorgeous glazed to build the overall glazed building.

The glazed archway is a symbol of rank in this temple. Only the first class Taiji below the king and the lama and other places are allowed to enter the Red Tai, and the rest are left outside the archway to worship. And the first class Taiji above the king and the lama are allowed to enter through the doors on both sides. Its quiet and beautiful relief pattern not only plays a role in decoration, but also contains rich political and religious content. Lotus, honeysuckle, treasure flower, fork cloud, plantain tree, tangled branches, grass and other decorations, both show the color of Buddhism and Chinese folk customs, but also auspicious and pure symbol. Its main upstairs has a cloud dragon, two ends of the second building is two dragons left and right symmetrical, chasing a rolling flash of the treasure pearl "two dragon play bead" pattern, meaning auspicious, and rich in traditional national characteristics, sculpture technology is exquisite, beautiful shape, lifelike. On the ridge of the glazed archway, there are also gorgeous decorations, two beasts kissing their heads on the ridge. Four horned fairy heads are raised on the top of their heads, and four animals stand tall on the ridge. These animal ornaments are placed here, which contains the meaning of disaster relief and disaster relief. The front of the glazed archway is engraved with the words "Pumen should be present", which means that the Guanyin Bodhisattva shows the gate of Pudu's beings; behind the archway, entitled "Lianjie solemnity", means that the Door where Guanyin Bodhisattva resides is majestic and sacred. The temple of Sumi Fushou on the left is engraved with the four words "totally holding the Buddha's land", which means that the Buddha lives in the scenic spot and dominates the world's laws. The words engraved on the archway mean to promote the Buddha's law, showing the magnificence of the Buddha's law.

The glaz archway is located in the two temples outside the eight temples of Chengde City, namely the temple of Putuo Zongcheng and the temple of Sumi Fushou. The appearance and shape are relatively beautiful, and it is also a special temple gate in the temple. Compared with the glaz archway of Putuo Zongcheng Temple, the glaz archway is bigger.

Chengde Liuli archway has two places, one in Putuo Zongcheng Temple, the other in the temple of Sumi Fushou, the former is larger, all three doors, the archway has Qianlong emperor's royal pen inscription. Here is the dividing line of the hierarchy, the emperor worships Buddha and worships the middle gate, and other officials walk by the door.

The glaz archway is in the small Potala Palace scenic spot. The Little Potala Palace is one of the most famous scenic spots in Chengde.
