Shimiao Mountain

Shimiao Mountain is located in the southwest of Shuiwen Town. The relative height of Shimiao is 950 meters and covers an area of ​​more than 170 mu. Shimiao is surrounded by mountains, rolling and reaching the clouds. A stream surrounds the foot of the mountain from left to right, forming a whole, like a jade belt winding around Shimiao. A road winds up Shimiao Mountain and leads directly to the top of Shimiao. Shimiao Mountain is full of strange rocks and peaks, with various shapes and forms. Flowers, plants and trees grow between the cracks of the rocks, with luxuriant branches and leaves. Every morning and evening, it is shrouded in clouds and mist, like a fairyland on earth. There is a folk poem praising "the stream water in the stone is green, and the scenery in front of the temple is beautiful for thousands of years", which can be compared with "Guilin landscape". There are some pine trees with strong vitality between the cliffs and in the cracks of the rocks on the mountain. Even on the top of some smooth boulders, there are clusters of two or three feet high grass and some trees of various shapes. Especially on the left side of the tail of Pangu Ancient God Stone, there is a spring gushing out from the end of Pangu Stone. The water is gurgling, clear and sweet. It contains a variety of organic substances and elements needed by the human body. It is a natural mineral water. The nearby villagers call it "Fairy Water". Drinking it will refresh the mind and eliminate all diseases. Some small stones spit out from the "Fairy Water" spring are said to have the effect of eliminating disasters and diseases and exorcising evil spirits, so they are called "Fairy Stones". Legend: According to legend, when Pangu created the world, three immortals in the sky instructed three stone men to drive the stone mountain to the top of the earth pillar. When they arrived at the Stone Temple (later named), it was already dawn, and they could not drive the stone mountain. So they let it sit here, and appointed Pangu Ancient God to guard it, and later named it Stone Temple. Pangu Ancient God planted a citrus tree on Pangu Stone. Every year when the Mid-Autumn Festival is full, he "shed tears" (shed oranges) to cry to the sky for grievances, but he always cried to the sky and the earth but no one answered. Later, someone built a temple under Pangu Stone, called Pangu Temple, also known as Stone Temple. It is said that this Stone Temple is very spiritual and has always been very popular with pilgrims.
