Manor Guell, located in the northwest corner of Barcelona, was the weekend villa of the banker Guell, built in 1884-1887. Gaudí designed the guardhouse, porches, stables and some of the walls and gates. Gaudí won the favor of Guell for his outstanding design, and had the opportunity to build a series of works such as Palazzo Guell, Park Guell and so on. The façade of the "Dragon's Gate" Guell Manor is the Muhadel style often adopted by Gaudí in the early days, with colorful tiles as decoration. The right gate post is 10 meters high and has a cross-shaped section to quell the dragon guarding the gate. The sculpture at the top of the doorpost comes from cotton bolls and oranges. Legend has it that the orange tree can fight the devil. The left doorpost is engraved with an exquisite cross and plant pattern. The cast-iron "Dragon's Gate" on the front is about 5 meters wide, allowing the occupants to enter and exit on horseback at that time. The dragon sculpture is lifelike and its eyes are like torches, guarding the golden apple. Gaudí uses the legend of the flying dragon to guard the golden apple as a metaphor for the noble status of the owner of the house. In addition, the dragon body also has a mechanical transmission device to control the opening and closing of the door. The door is now considered a typical symbol of the Güell estate. In addition to the horse training hall, the horse training hall is also worth seeing. The pale yellow exterior wall is in the shape of fish scales, and the tower-shaped skylight is decorated with blue geometric mosaics. The horse training hall is about 140 square meters in size. The floor tiles are arranged in a radial pattern. There are pulley cranes used to train horses. The stable hall adopts a hyperboloid arch structure, the main beam is arched, and the side beams are also arched, which is very beautiful and easy for lighting.
