Agnes @ Taman Ujung Ujung Water Palace
This is a trip arranged on the same day as the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, the two attractions are not far apart, but they are both a bit far from the center of Ubud, so you still need to charter a car to get there. However, I think both attractions are very worthwhile, and there's no feeling of falling into a tourist trap.
The day I went there was heavy rain, and even wearing a raincoat was barely enough, so there were very few tourists, which gave the feeling of having the whole place to ourselves. The area is very large, and as soon as you enter, you can see the first palace at a glance. The pathways are all white, which should look very nice in photos if the weather is good, but looking out from the windows after the rain, there's a different kind of fresh feeling. Walking around and taking pictures, you'll soon reach the foot of a ruined palace in the sky. From a distance, you can see a long staircase leading to this palace, which takes some time to climb, but it's not very high or tiring. From the top, you can overlook the entire area, which is quite nice. We also met many local little girls on the stairs, their clear eyes were very touching. After coming down and walking to the right, you can see the third palace, this time the pathway is bronze-colored, and at the end is a large, transparent platform, which might have been a place for meetings or discussions in the past.
This is a very leisurely and uniquely beautiful area, especially enjoyable when it's less crowded. The rain drizzles onto the lake surface, surrounded by greenery, it's just too enjoyable.
I have seen a lot of photos of Wuyi Water Palace before, and the photos are really big, quiet and beautiful, but after coming, it is really a little different from the photos, because there are really many people, you want to have a quiet photo that no one and you take. It is really a bit difficult. , it may really be the earliest or almost close time to have a photo of the Wuyi water palace and yourself. We went to Lampunyang Temple and came here. We loved it very much. The gardens here are really beautiful and there aren’t so many people so you don’t have to queue when taking pictures. We spent 45 minutes walking around and took lots of nice pictures. If you’re coming here from Ames, it takes about 45 minutes.
beautiful water palace! it wasn’t too crowded when we came. bring some water and a hat, it can be very hot to walk outside.
The Urong Water Palace was once the emperor's summer palace, and an earthquake in 1979 buried the entire palace on the surface, surviving only a few buildings on the high ground, and now only the ruins of the broken walls. Later, the garden was renovated and now it has become a particularly quiet park, retaining the style of traditional Bali gardens and introducing some Western architectural styles, plus its experience and story, which presents a unique beauty.
Super recommended to go after gate of heaven, it will be closer, the garden is so big and good 😍
Ujung Water Palace is strategically located on the beach, south of Karangasem city and many springs can be found around the area. When viewed from a historical aspect, almost all the relics from the Karangasem Kingdom both for Lombok Island and in Bali
Loved visiting here! Beautiful, clean, quiet, amazing buildings, landscaping and great views at the top. Definitely the highlight of any place in the area!
The Ujung Water Palace is located in the mountain area on the East side of Bali. Iy is not far from the volcano . The gardens are quite nice. There is a walking maze in one of the ponds . I do agree with the other writers that this place can be a bit crowded. I went on an off time and day and it was still very crowded. The big water fountain had a unique design and is very nice. Try to walk the whole area as there are a couple uncrowded parts . A couple of very cool boats to see as well.
