"To play in Suzhou, you must visit Suzhou gardens. The most famous Humble Administrator's Garden must spend the most time and the greatest energy to slowly appreciate it. For insurance reasons, I bought a ticket on Trip.com the first day. Because I was worried that the first time period was too tight, I had breakfast at the hotel in the morning and then took a taxi to the past time, so I made an appointment for the second time period, 8:30 to 9:30. Although there is room for the appointment time, the time to get up in the morning is still as far as possible. Take a taxi to Humble Administrator's Garden immediately after breakfast. We have arrived at the main entrance of Humble Administrator's Garden just 8:30. It doesn't seem that there are many tourists in front of the door, although they still have to walk back along the fence, but the speed is very fast. After entering the main entrance, unlike in other gardens, walk and watch the flowers according to the strategy I have done in advance. Instead, I have carried out a deep tour and appreciation in two steps. The first step was to spend 180 yuan to ask a manual interpreter to take us to the main attractions for about an hour. After that, we visited for more than an hour, and stopped to enjoy it slowly, and took pictures. The only regret is that before I came, I knew that there was one of the most famous pens in the Humble Administrator's Garden, Baoen Temple Tower (Beisi Tower), I wanted to take a good photo. But there was a crane between the Beisi Tower and the Humble Administrator's Garden that day with a long crane arm tilted, which made it difficult to take pictures. This aspect is a pity, on the other hand, for the next time to come to Suzhou, and then visit the Humble Administrator's Garden reserved a perfect reason."

Highlights: This is one of "China's Four Gardens" and a world cultural heritage site. The Humble Administrator’s Garden is known for its water landscape that highlights the ambiance of the Southern Chinese villages built on bodies of water. It is elegant and delicately designed. In the garden, different kinds of ancient architecture were built on water. They are scattered strategically and not one is the same as another. The garden is divided into three parts: the east, the middle, and the west. Each part has its own characteristics, especially the central garden, which basically maintains the simple and natural style of the Ming Dynasty gardens.

"Zhouzhuang is famous, and the evaluation is average on weekends. Compared with other ancient towns, it is more commercialized, the tickets are more expensive, and there are fewer attractions inside. The parking lot is also lacking in management, and some location signs are also missing."
    Kunshan.In Zhouzhuang Ancient Town
    32.5km from downtown
Highlights: This ancient town has a history of more than 900 years old with many houses built in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Known as Yao City or Zhenfang lane in ancient times, the town was once a part of the Kingdom of Wu, playing an important role in the distribution of silk, ceramics, art pieces, and food. With lakes on the four sides, the beauty of Zhouzhuang has to be discovered through its water lanes and stone bridges. Taking a boat ride would be an interesting option to tour around the town. Famous sites include Zhang Hall, Shen Hall, and the underwater tomb of Shen Wansan, a famous Yuan Dynasty Businessman. If you stay around till the lights light up at night, you can enjoy a view that is seemingly made up from a fairytale.

Highlights: Lion Forest Garden, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, and Canglang Pavilion are collectively known as the “Four Famous Suzhou Gardens”. The Lion Forest was built in the Yuan Dynasty and was originally a back garden of Zen temples. It was later purchased as a private residence. This garden was treasured by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, who always stayed here during his visits to Southern China. Although the Lion Grove Garden is small, the artificial mountains in the park are very well-known. The strange rocks resemble dancing lions. The connection between the artificial mountains is not dissimilar to a maze. You can play hide-and-seek in the stone maze or count the number of observable stone lions.

Although Tiger Hill is only a small hill, it contains natural landscapes such as cliffs and ravines. Because of its construction history, many cultural attractions have been formed. In the garden, buildings and plants are built to complement each other according to the exquisite Jiangnan garden style. Here, you can learn about the story of the Spring and Autumn Period and visit the lopsided landmark, Yunyan Pagoda.

    Suzhou.Shi Road/Shantang business district
    2km from downtown
Highlights: The Lingering Garden, along with the Humble Administrator’s Garden in Suzhou, the Summer Palace in Beijing, and the Chengde Imperial Summer Resort in Hebei, are collectively known as China's Four Great Gardens. The Lingering Garden is known for the graceful beauty of its Chinese pavilions, rock collections, winding paths, the greenery which fills the park, and its jade-colored pond. Here, one can experience the calm of visiting an area in between that of a landscape garden and a natural landscape. The Lingering Garden was built in the Ming dynasty, in the 21st year of Emperor Wanli's reign (1593 CE) by Xu Taishi, a bureaucrat of the Ming court, as the landscape garden of his private residence. The garden was called the "East Garden" at the time. In the Qing dynasty, in the early years of Emperor Guangxu's reign, the garden was purchased by a bureaucrat by the name of Sheng Kang, who renamed it the "Lingering Garden". The garden is divided into four themed sections. Within a single garden, one can have a taste of four distinct scenes, namely natural landscapes, countrysides, mountain forests, and flower gardens.
