The permanent site of the Boao Forum for Asia covers Dongyu Island in Qionghai City, Hainan Province. It is very popular and not to be missed are the magnificent conference center, the Qiyun Terrace and Dragon Neck Cave with magical echo effects, and Yudai Beach, a unique scenic spot where three rivers meet the sea. The ticket office of the scenic spot is outside the island. After buying the ticket, you can take the scenic spot's battery car to the island via Peilan Bridge. The entire Dongyu Island looks like a turtle, and turtle elements can be seen everywhere in the scenic spot. The Boao Forum for Asia has long become a platform for governments, enterprises, experts and scholars from Asia and other continents to discuss economic, social and environmental issues. The Qiyuntai and Longjing Cave in the scenic area is one of the landmark attractions of the scenic area. Standing on the small yellow dot in the center, you can hear your own endless echo, which is very strange. After visiting the conference hall, you can take a boat to Yudai Beach, which is included in the ticket package for the Boao Forum for Asia Permanent Site. Yudai Beach is a natural beach peninsula where the sea and the river meet, with the turbulent South China Sea on one side and the calm Three Rivers (Wanquan River, Longgun River and Jiulong River) on the other side, and the scenery is very unique.Qionghai · 16.6km from downtown

China (Hainan) Museum of the South China Sea is located by Tanmen Fishing Port. Its overall design is inspired by the concept of "riding the waves of the Silk Road, a boat of the South China Sea." From a distance, it resembles a giant ship with sails set, anchored by the sea, echoing the fishing boats coming in and out of the port. This museum, themed around the South China Sea, houses approx. 90,000 items (sets) in its collection, covering export porcelain from various dynasties, South China Sea biological specimens, historical artifacts of Hainan, and ship models from various dynasties. The museum's several permanent exhibition halls each have their own highlights: Exhibition Hall 3, "800-year wait: special exhibition of the Xisha Huaguang Reef I shipwreck," centers on the Southern Song Dynasty shipwreck, Huaguang Reef I, with over 10,000 excavated artifacts, primarily ceramics; the "Human history of the South China Sea" exhibition in Exhibition Halls 1 and 2 recounts over 2,000 years of navigation and interaction on the South China Sea; Exhibition Hall 10, "Natural ecology of the South China Sea," uses light and shadow, touch, and virtual reality technology to present the biological and resource diversity of the South China Sea, featuring specimens of large marine life such as whale sharks; and Exhibition Hall 7, "Zuo hai: South China Sea fishing culture exhibition," starts from the Hainan dialect term "Zuo hai" to unfold the life scenes of fishing families farming and fishing the sea.Qionghai · 14.3km from downtown

The park is very well-built and clean. It offers a rich variety of attractions and fruit trees, including many tropical fruit trees I've never seen before in China. Visiting during the right season to see the trees bearing fruit is truly breathtaking. It's suitable for families with children, as it features not only plants but also animals and play equipment for kids. Prices within the park are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

I went there because of its reputation. You can see the exterior and go inside for a tour, but it's just a meeting room, so the tour was quick. Inside the meeting room, staff members take photos at designated spots, and you can also take your own photos. They were very friendly! Thumbs up! The surrounding area has the Wanquan River and a golf course; it's beautiful to walk around in!

The environment is great, the air is fresh, and the scenery is beautiful. You can easily take the cable car up and down the mountain and enjoy the scenery. The glass slide is suitable for all ages. If you're not planning on any adventure activities, two or three hours is enough to have fun.

China (Hainan) South China Sea Museum Located beside the fishing port of Tanmen Town, Qionghai City, Hainan Province (9 kilometers from Bo'ao), it officially opened on April 26, 2018. It is a national first-class museum and a 4A-level scenic spot. Spanning 150 acres with a building area of 70,593 square meters, its exterior design evokes the theme "Chasing the Waves of the Silk Road, Ships of the South China Sea." It is divided into north and south sections: the south section houses the main exhibition, while the north section houses temporary exhibitions and a multi-functional area. The museum houses over 90,000 artifacts, including relics from the Huaguang Reef No. 1 shipwreck, export porcelain, and marine life specimens. The permanent exhibitions cover eight themes, including South China Sea history and culture, natural ecology, underwater archaeology, and fishing culture. Admission is free (reservations required). Regular opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM (closed on Mondays, with extended hours on public holidays). The museum also offers cultural and creative products, interactive children's activities, and guided tours. The museum is quite large with many exhibition halls, and there are several must-see exhibits, such as the Huaguang Reef No. 1 shipwreck, the "Genglu Bu" (a navigation guide), a 1:1 scale replica of an ancient ship, and whale specimens. There are drinking fountains inside, and the air conditioning is quite strong, so you may want to bring a light jacket. It's definitely worth a visit for a deeper understanding of the South China Sea and shipwrecks.

Beautiful sunrise skydiving, another item on my life wish list has been completed! We were originally scheduled to jump on the 15th, but it rained a little in the afternoon, so we changed it to the next day. The base lady told us on the evening of the 15th that we could jump at sunrise on the 16th, and we could pick us up at the hotel in the early morning. I really wanted to know if there was such a good thing! The coaching team was very interesting, they would create an atmosphere on the plane, and they could also communicate with the third-party photographers about the content of the photos (the original video was included in the third-party package, and the editing and photos needed to be purchased separately). I am very grateful to my coach Liu Yang and photographer Mike. The first skydiving experience in my life was super great. I saw the sunrise and got a set of life photos.

In the town of Guantang, Qionghai, the hot springs are nice, the scenery is beautiful, and there is a shuttle bus to Qionghai High-speed Railway Station. The breakfast is OK, and the service is good. It is very close to the Baishiling Scenic Area, a 4A-level scenic spot, and you can climb the mountain by the way.

Wanquan River Scenic Area, Survival in Despair This is the hometown where I grew up. When I was a child, it was crowded with people, with many shops and tourist buses. Once upon a time, there were aunts selling conch souvenirs, uncles opening iced coconuts and brothers taking commemorative photos on both sides of the coconut trees. After the 2024 flood, it was even worse. The already dilapidated and cold river bank was left with only withered flowers and willows, and there was thick river mud on the ground. But surprisingly, these coconut trees that were soaked in the flood for several days and nights 🌴 still survived tenaciously
