Okinawa World Culture Kingdom is a large theme park in Okinawa where you can experience Ryukyu culture. It mainly features attractions such as the Gyokusen Cave, Kingdom Village, and Viper Museum Park. Visitors can learn about Okinawa's history, culture, and nature, and participate in a variety of hands-on activities. Gyokusendo Cave is a massive natural stalactite cave formed over a long history of 300,000 years. Containing over one million stalactites, it is one of Japan's largest stalactite formations, creating a bizarre landscape. In "Kingdom Village," the castle town of the Ryukyu Kingdom, four old houses recognized as national cultural properties have been relocated. Here, you can enjoy more than 10 cultural experiences, including weaving, printing, dyeing, and Ryukyu glassmaking. At "Viper Museum Park," you can learn about the ecological environment of the rice spoon snake and visit various reptiles. Viper's performances using rice spoon coins are held daily, and their funny and unique content can't help but bring a smile to people's faces. The trainer's humorous commentary might even make you feel a little sorry for the fearsome Snake Snake. Performances are held daily at 11:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:30, and 16:30, with each performance lasting approximately 20 minutes. The must-see large-scale festival parade performance, "Eisa Drum Dance," takes place four times a day at 10:30, 12:30, 14:30, and 16:00 at Eisa Plaza. It lasts approximately 25 minutes. Shouts are accompanied by drums, and the action culminates in traditional theatrical and lion dance performances.Nanjo · 22.3km from Okinawa City

Kokusai-dori is a bustling street in downtown Naha, approx. 1.6 km long, lined with restaurants, general stores, drugstores, and souvenir shops. The street's name originates from the Kokusai Theater cinema opened after the war, and it gradually developed into a lively commercial street, earning it the nickname "Miracle Mile." You can see Shisa sculptures on the street, and various Okinawan specialty goods and traditional craft shops line the street, showcasing a distinct local flair. Visitors can purchase local specialties here such as Shisa figurines, Awamori, and brown sugar, or enjoy local dishes like Okinawa soba. Every Sunday, vehicle traffic is restricted on some sections of the street, making it convenient for pedestrians to stroll. The street also connects to covered shopping streets like Heiwa-dori, which are filled with shops selling traditional clothing, pottery, food, and local ingredients, continuing the daily commercial atmosphere of downtown Naha.Naha · 17.9km from Okinawa City

American Village is a coastal shopping and entertainment district themed after the American West Coast. It was developed on reclaimed land from a former US military airfield. In the early years, it gradually attracted American-style shops and restaurants to meet the needs of US military personnel and their families. Today, with its streets full of graffiti murals, neon signs, and vibrant retro architecture, it has become a destination for shopping and ocean views in central Okinawa. The bustling heart of the district is Depot Island, where colorful buildings, palm trees, and coastal boardwalks connect, providing photo opportunities everywhere. Nearby, American Depot is famous for its vintage clothing, military surplus, and imported goods, making it perfect for browsing. Dining options also have a strong American flair, with taco rice, burgers, steaks, and Blue Seal ice cream—which originated at local US military bases—all available. Entertainment facilities like cinemas and game centers are also interspersed throughout. Around dusk is an especially charming time for this district. Chatan Park, located on one side, features Chatan Park Sunset Beach, which faces the west coast and is a popular spot for watching the sunset; in summer, you can even swim there. After nightfall, the neon lights and decorations gradually light up, presenting two different atmospheres between day and night. It is worth noting that the large Ferris wheel that once appeared in many promotional photos has been dismantled, so there is no need to look for it.Chatan · 5.5km from Okinawa City

Whenever they hear "Wanza Mao", everyone will be puzzled by this strange name. In fact, "Wanza" means "ten thousand people sit down", and "Mao" is an Okinawan dialect, meaning grassland and open space. Therefore, "Wanzumao" refers to a large lawn that can accommodate ten thousand people to sit down. This beautiful large lawn is located on a cliff by the sea, and the surrounding flora is designated as a natural monument by Okinawa Prefecture. From there, you can enjoy the sea and the sky, as well as overlooking the coral reefs under the cliffs and the magnificent view of the waves crashing on the shore. Wanzuomao is actually very small. It may take 10 minutes to walk around the semi-circle. The iconic scenic spot is that the cliff is shaped like an elephant's trunk, which is somewhat similar to the Elephant Trunk Hill in Guilin. From here, you can see pictures of coral reefs and stormy waves hitting the shore, and there are patches of green plant communities on the land. And here is also the location of film and television dramas such as the Hong Kong movie "Love in Okinawa" and the Korean drama "It's Okay, It's Love".Onna · 19.5km from Okinawa City

Okinawa World was a pleasant surprise, with Gyokusendo Cave being the main highlight of the visit. The cave is huge and really impressive, with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites throughout the walking route. The underground scenery feels quite different from the usual Okinawa attractions, and the cool temperature inside the cave was a nice break from the heat outside. The cave is well maintained, with a proper walking path and lighting that makes it easy to appreciate the different formations. There are also some beautiful sections with underground water and colourful lighting. The walk itself takes around 30–45 minutes depending on your pace and how many photos you take, but I would recommend allowing more time to explore the rest of Okinawa World. For the entrance fee, I think it offers good value for money, especially because the ticket gives you more than just access to the cave.

Its eye-catching symbol is the large Ferris wheel with a diameter of about 50 meters. The American Village has entertainment facilities mainly based on 3D images, an 8-screen movie theater, a shopping mall, a bowling alley, an American restaurant, a recording studio, an entertainment center, an imported grocery store, etc., and there are also complex facilities for sports.

I like the castle. The ancient buildings and the stone to build up the castle. The pillars with hand crafted design were amazing. The weather is hot actually and not much shade. To bring an umbrella will be good.

It was a very interesting experience. Although the visibility in the sea was second to last, we could still see the small fish very clearly, which allowed my teammate, who can't snorkel, to see the underwater world. Thumbs up to the skinny, small guy leading the group; he was so nice and always smiling.

When talking about the most beautiful sea areas in Japan, Okinawa has to be mentioned. The Blue Caves here are also one of the best attractions. Here you can not only enjoy this 35-meter wide and 6-meter deep cave by snorkeling or diving. In this blue dream world, you can see various creatures such as sea bream, goldfish and hedgehog shrimp living here. Every year during the peak season, tourists from all over the world come to experience it.

A special attraction in Okinawa. It is actually very small and I feel that I can walk around it in less than half an hour. I can see wild pineapples on the roadside. It feels quite fun. There is not much else to comment on. The sea is actually very blue~

I recommend spending at least a full half day here. There are many to see and do besides the cave. But the cave definitely is a must visit. Addtionally there is a cultural village, habu museum, habu show, cultural dance, craft village, a small zoo withbsome animals sich as bats, tortoise, habu, etc. It is really worth visiting.
