Bangkok traffic is terrible on weekdays, but Ctrip made good arrangements; we flew to Bangkok on the weekend. The only downside was that the group meals were sometimes insufficient. There was no forced shopping, and there were many optional excursions to choose from, depending on your budget. The tour guide service was good. There were 18 people in the group, which was a good number. The Sheraton in Bangkok was truly excellent; the facilities were great, much better than hotels in Phuket.

A wonderful gondola ride. We were able to take some beautiful photos. The guide was friendly. We saw charming little streets and crossed the Grand Canal of Venice.
