The driver and guide Joe is a really wonderful person. We were a group of 5 people and he helped us a lot. One of us is a person in a wheelchair, so he helped even with it coz he had to move in such a wheelchair for half a year.

A truly wonderful travel experience! It was my first time in Shanghai, and the French Concession was my top choice. My guide Laura, was warm, friendly, and shared many fascinating stories about China. The whole tour had a very smooth pace — we walked, had a coffee break, and even tried some hands-on activities. For example, we made a lacquer fan in a local studio, which was such a fun and unique experience! I highly recommend this tour!

Food is okay, ate till very full. Tea and wine very good. Love the performance, so engaging that we forgot to eat! Performers all very pretty and handsome, dance very graceful and martial art very impressive. Audio quality of the intro video for each dish could have been better. If dont want makeup, the dinner start at 6.30pm, have to message the counter to confirm timing. Quite far from where we stay, have to take 1 hour metro to get there. 3rd row seat might not get full view of performance since sometime will be blocked by pillars but still enjoyable.

Unfortunately I had to attend the palace banquet alone as my friend couldn’t make it, and I initially thought I wouldn’t be able to capture any nice photos of myself in the Han attire. However, Sister Mao (店长）truly made my experience exceptional. She was incredibly attentive and noticed that I was on my own. She kindly offered to help take photos for me. Her photography skills are superb — she took so many beautiful pictures that I will truly cherish. In addition, some of the staff were all very warm, friendly, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable despite being alone. Their hospitality really stood out. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and heartfelt experience.

We booked through Trip easily. We searched for it using maps along the route. We wouldn't have found it otherwise. We were on Nanjing Street. The restaurant is on the third floor of a large store. We had to wait about an hour to get into the dining room. There's a guy at the counter; you go up to him and take a ticket, sit on a chair, and wait your turn. You can track the queue on the board. When you enter the restaurant, if you've already paid for it and have a voucher, show it so they know you've paid and what exactly you've chosen. Otherwise, they won't know. The food and service are 10 out of 10. Plenty of it, delicious, and, of course, very beautiful and unusual. I recommend it.

The experience at Shanghai Palace Banquet completely exceeded my expectations. The most stunning part was undoubtedly the performance by the dancers in the courtyard! Set against the backdrop of ancient-style courtyards, pavilions, bridges, and flowing water, the dancers, clad in magnificent robes, moved gracefully. Their flowing sleeves exuded classical charm, and every turn and sway of their waists was precise and fluid. Their expressions perfectly captured the essence of ancient elegance. Accompanied by melodious music, the rustling of their flowing garments and the tinkling of their accessories created an immersive experience, transporting us to a grand Tang Dynasty banquet. The performers' professionalism and sincerity were palpable. The wonderful performance made the entire meal exceptionally meaningful, and I've already recommended it to my friends for our next gathering – it's definitely worth seeing again and again!
