These eSIM cards are a great idea. No need to bother with buying physical ones anymore. Have you tried buying and registering a SIM card in the Philippines? Our friends tried, and it took a terribly long time. Overall, if your phone supports eSIM, I highly recommend buying it here. It's less hassle and cheaper.

Using an eSIM is very convenient. After purchasing it, there's a link to download it. Once downloaded and purchased, you can use it when you arrive in the destination country. The internet signal in Taiwan is very good.

You'll need to authenticate your real name before installing, but the process is simple and problem-free. After arriving in Taiwan, I turned on mobile data and roaming and immediately connected to 5G. The APN was automatically configured, so I was able to use the internet without any effort. I used it while traveling in the south and east, away from urban areas, and most places had 5G connectivity and good connection speeds. Line communication was a little slow, with image sending failing and taking a long time in some cases. Since I was using roaming with a Hong Kong telecommunications company, there may have been some restrictions.
