I tried to book a Shinkansen ticket in advance on the official website, but it didn't work unless it was in English. Seats are automatically assigned. Even though I'd already made all my reservations, when I tried to check my reservation on the official website, it said there were no reservations. And when I went to get my paper ticket, the automatic ticket machine said it couldn't find my reservation for some reason. It was fine because I was able to get my ticket at the ticket counter, but it did worry me a bit.Trip.com Picks
