This car rental experience was excellent. I'm very grateful to the Ctrip customer service representative for quickly arranging the car for the day and communicating the itinerary with the driver, so even though we didn't speak the language, we were able to travel very happily. The Smart Bus is a convenient way to travel around Phuket, especially for those staying in Nai Harn or Rawai, the most remote southern beaches: the fare is 100 baht in any case. You can pay in cash or with a trip.com QR code, which is generated after debiting trip coins. The journey from the airport to the south takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes, and the return trip takes 2 hours 30 minutes. Departures are punctual, right on time. The schedule is here: https://www.phuketsmartbus.com/timetable You can ask the driver to stop you at your desired point in advance (in our case, he stopped conveniently at the El Greco coffee shop, from which we walked 14 minutes to our hotel, the Wyndham Grand Nai Harn). Of course, the bus isn't exactly luxury; it's a regular city bus with air conditioning. But with such a competitive price and consistent service, it's a very compelling alternative to a taxi, especially for those living on remote beaches.
