Buying through Ctrip was very convenient, and the prices were more affordable than other places during promotions. We exchanged our tickets for reserved seats at the airport and then used our 5-day wide-area pass to visit the Honshu region, which we had never been to before. We also rode the adorable panda-themed train – a fantastic experience!★

Redeeming tickets is smooth and simple; you can exchange them for physical tickets at the airport's automatic ticket machines! You can reserve two reserved seats on the Haruka Limited Express, making round trips between the airport and Kyoto/Osaka extremely convenient. While limited to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, and Nara, a 5-day wide-area tour is recommended for those wanting to travel further afield.★

This is the best among the Osaka passes. Of course, personal preferences may vary, but for me, the JR Station pass seems to be the most suitable for most travel itineraries. I definitely recommend it for a 3-day trip that includes a flight to the airport. I used to have the Nankai Pass; although it was a bit more expensive, it was great when I was getting tired of Osaka. However, seeing that I don't see it anymore, it seems they don't sell it here. You can visit most popular places like Nara, Kyoto, Kobe, and Sannomiya. Using the Loop Line provides good access to the city center, and above all, you can truly appreciate the unique local atmosphere of the JR Station. Other trains have their own distinct charms, but JR seems to fit the general vibe of a trip to Japan. If possible, next time I would like to use the Wide Pass for a longer period to enjoy a more leisurely trip. After all, most travelers might just be ordinary people who can't afford to satisfy both money and time simultaneously.★

After exchanging my currency at Kansai Airport, I took the HARUKA train directly to Shin-Osaka, then transferred to the NOZOMI train to Kokura to begin my journey. From there, I took the Sanyo Shinkansen and limited express trains back to Osaka, making it incredibly cost-effective.★

It's very easy to use, just open the app, scan the QR code, and go directly to the entrance/exit. However, there's only one QR code scanner at each station's entrance and exit, which might be a bit insufficient. Sometimes you might have to wait in line to scan the QR code to enter the station. Also, sometimes accessing the website to get the QR code might be interrupted; you might not find it and need to register again via email to get the QR code again. This might happen occasionally.
