Reviews: [September Promotion] Melbourne Great Ocean Road Trail + Twelve Apostles Day Trip

If you have the time, driving yourself is more comfortable, but if you only have one day, a bus tour is sufficient. The driver is nice and will explain the history of the road in detail. However, a day tour really just involves visiting the most scenic spots of the Great Ocean Road, and stopping if you encounter wild koalas or kangaroos along the way. The prices at the restaurants along the road are reasonable. The scenery along this road is truly stunning when the weather is good.

The tour was worth the price but it’s very packed and tight in schedule. You could see lots of places but they’re all technically just snap-and-go.. even for the animal park, you only get around 40 minutes to interact. For those who’re booking though this platform, you’ll have to pay a $5-10 tips/pax to the guide and the driver, which was something we were not happy with. Another let down was the stop for late lunch at Apollo Bay Beach— the food at the fusion Chinese restaurant was really disappointing. Their portions were small and the foods served were honestly really bland. You could easily get cheaper and better food choices at the CBD with similar prices or maybe at the local bar. However, the tour was overall satisfying if you want to visit all the famous places for The Great Ocean Road on a great weather. The guide would explain a tad bit of the histories of the places as well.
