YOU MUST BOOK THIS TOUR!!! We had wonderful experience with Kazakhstan Very Nice. Our tour guide Alibi has taken very good care of us, he is funny, has good knowledge, good english and especially he knows where to take the best pictures, that had saved us a lot of time. They have included some locations that was not on the itinerary but still manage to be on time. Again highly recommended!!!

The trip was amazing, but it wouldn’t have been possible without Adam’s charm and his generosity. He was very careful with everything he explained and made sure everyone’s needs and expectations were met. I recommend anyone that books this trip to ask for Adam as a tour guide. This is a solid one-day activity to experience the Kazakh outdoors. We went to 5 sites, including a ride on an old Soviet bus and a pony, with a delicious lunch at a local home. If you have more time, stretching it to a two-day trip with an overnight stay in a yurt would probably be better but if you only have a day to spare, do this. We had a pleasant guide, Naz, and driver and they managed a packed day without us feeling too rushed.

Almaty Lake is one of the most breathtaking natural destinations near Almaty, and visiting it was easily one of the highlights of my trip. Located about an hour’s drive from the city, the journey itself is already scenic, with winding mountain roads, pine forests, and occasional viewpoints that make you want to stop every few minutes for photos. When I first arrived at the lake, I was immediately struck by the color of the water. Depending on the light and weather, it shifts between deep turquoise and bright blue, creating a surreal, almost unreal atmosphere. Surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks, the lake feels incredibly peaceful and remote, even though it’s relatively close to the city. The crisp mountain air and silence make it a perfect escape from urban life.

We had a really nice experience on the Big Almaty Lake tour. The weather was quite cold and the lake was frozen when we visited, but it was still very beautiful and unique to see it covered with ice. We stayed at the lake for about an hour, took many photos, and enjoyed the mountain views. Our guide, Dmitry, was amazing. He was very friendly, helpful, and professional. He shared useful information and even gave us his phone number, telling us that if we needed anything during our stay in Kazakhstan, we could contact him. That made us feel very comfortable and supported. After visiting the lake, we also stopped at a waterfall, which was very scenic and peaceful. Later, we visited a place with natural hot spring/spa water, which was very interesting to see. The whole tour took around 4 to 5 hours, and everything was well organized. The car was very comfortable, the driving was smooth, and overall it was a beautiful day and a great experience. Highly recommended!


