The MuTianYu Great Wall, as an important part of the Ming Dynasty's military defense system, features unique defensive structures like double-sided battlements and the Eagle Flies Backward peak, which hold significant historical research value. This 5,400-meter-long section stretches along the Yanshan Mountain range and preserves 23 watchtowers, including the rare Zhenguan Platform composed of three interconnected watchtowers - an exceptional architectural layout in the Great Wall system.

The attraction is divided into eastern and western routes: the western route stretches from Watchtower No. 14 to No. 22, passing through the steep Niujiaobian section and the uniquely structured Jiankou segment. The eastern route runs from Watchtower No. 6 to No. 1, where the Dajiaolou lookout offers panoramic mountain views. Visitors are recommended to take the cable car to Watchtower No. 14, first exploring the more rugged western route before leisurely descending via the gentler eastern path, with the option to experience the slide at Watchtower No. 8. Compared to other popular Great Wall attractions, Mutianyu better preserves the historical texture of its walls.

The well-developed facilities within the attraction offer diverse visiting options for visitors with different physical abilities.
