It was a long day but well worth it. Our tour guide made the day interesting with the amount of knowledge she had about the place. Going with a tour meant jumping the queues and there were lots of them. Highly recommend this tour
Reviews: Beijing Mutianyu Great Wall 1-Day Tour [VIP Private Charter ◆ Door-to-Door Pickup/Includes Admission Ticket & No Shopping]

A day in advance, someone contacted us to confirm the departure time. Our driver, Xiao Jiang, was very friendly and answered all our travel questions. We departed from the South Station with our two children in a spacious GL8. The journey to Mutianyu took about an hour and a half. Not wanting to miss the toboggan run on the east route and the "Hero's Slope" on the west route, we chose both. We took the cable car up and the toboggan down on the east route, and the cable car up and down on the west route, taking about 5 hours in total. After Mutianyu, we visited the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Finally, they dropped us off at our designated location. The whole process was very convenient and effortless – a super great experience!

Unbelievably amazing place. If I come back I will choose Zanbus again. Our tour guide David is amazing person. He is very cheerful and helpful. He speaks very good English. I totally recommend.
Reviews: Full-Day Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with 5 Hours at the Site (ENG/ESP/RUS Guided Bus)

We chose the eastern route to Mutianyu for the sake of tobogganing, but a short downpour changed our plans. We had to take the cable car down. 🥲 About the attraction: the observation towers are closer to each other than I thought, so the walk wasn't long. The views are beautiful. There are cute cats living on the wall. 10/10 About the excursion: the journey to and from the destination is on comfortable and clean buses. The Chinese guide speaks Russian well and makes sure no one gets lost. The buffet is delicious with a variety of dishes (Chinese and European cuisine, fruits and vegetables, desserts). 10/10

I really enjoyed everything. It was a great day. The locations were stunning, and our guide, Katya (I don't know her Chinese name), was great, fun, and passionate about her work. It's nice when someone is passionate about their work. We were lucky with the weather, and we arrived at the wall when there weren't many people there.

Great tour! I loved everything! The city on the water is magical. The wall is Great! Suzy, the tour guide, is great! Even though the tour is in English, everything is clear. If you don't understand, there's a translator on the phone. We also got to the wall running festival. We cheered for our team! Our team was chosen from the locals! 😃 I read the advice and took a tour without boats. I don't understand the boats at all; they go halfway for 80 yuan and don't go all the way to the lift. Walking is much more interesting, through the city. Both the ride and the return are different and complementary experiences. Be sure to book the lift with Suzy! She charges 160 yuan, while on site it's over 200. And bring plenty of water during the hot season. The local water isn't tasty, and other water is only available at the entrance, at the bus stop, or from the driver. We got there in 35°C (95°F) heat. It's more comfortable in the evening, but getting to the hotel is more expensive. We arrived back in Beijing at half past nine and took the metro comfortably. The tour price was very reasonable! Tickets to the Gubei Water City and the wall were included. The tickets almost made up half the cost of the tour.
