Reviews: Hakone Owakudani, Lake Ashi, Lake Yamanaka, free Hakone cable car, optional 9-person small group transfer

Our tour guide, Sakura Moe, left us with perfect day trip memories! Our group members came from Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China. Moe seamlessly switched between fluent Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, making communication effortless and instantly bridging the gap between everyone. She arranged a rich and engaging itinerary, was knowledgeable and humorous, and even took us to try some hidden gems known only to locals. Even more thoughtful was her willingness to take many wonderful group photos for us at each attraction, providing exceptional service. The day was filled with laughter and joy, and we felt like friends. Five stars without a doubt! Highly recommended for all international travelers!

The price/performance ratio was excellent. Going to these two attractions on your own is not only expensive but also inconvenient, with a maximum of one visit per day. Joining a tour group allowed you to visit both locations without the tiring feeling.

The day before departure, the tour guide would frantically call everyone on their phone, adding their contact information and creating a group chat to emphasize precautions and potential departure points. The next day, we boarded the bus on time and were divided into groups for roll call. Our lead tour guide was named Dani, and she had an assistant. They spoke a mix of Chinese and English, with 44 people on board. Dani explained the attractions and itineraries in both English and Chinese, communicating with the driver in Japanese along the way. Overall, she was incredibly responsible, busying herself with ticket purchases, arrangements, and helping guests find lost property. Because the tour covered several locations and traffic jams were common, it was essentially a whirlwind tour. Drop-off times at each location ranged from 10 to 45 minutes, so getting back on time wouldn't delay the rest of the trip, but it was still a tight schedule. Souvenir shopping meant no time to queue for photos, which meant no time to use the restroom, which meant no time to grab a snack. It was a trade-off. Mount Fuji is quite delicate; in bad weather, you can't see anything. All it took was a three- or four-hundred-yuan day of driving and sightseeing, and that was enough to make your back ache. My advice is to check the weather forecast, avoid weekends, and be prepared for a tough time. Don't lose anything, take some cash, a pillow, and a positive attitude. And drink less water. Life, after all, is so bitter. 🥲

Our tour guide, Agnes, was absolutely fantastic! My parents raved about the itinerary. We were also incredibly lucky to see Mount Fuji so clearly. Plus, the trip was packed – departing at 7:30 AM and returning to Tokyo around 6:30 PM. We rode the pirate ship and rode the cable car, seeing all the major attractions in Hakone. This was truly the best part of the trip! A huge shout-out to Agnes again; she provided us with an exceptionally enriching experience!
