Our tour guide, Xiaopeng, was professional, responsible, meticulous, and thoughtful. He possessed extensive professional knowledge and was extremely dedicated to his work, adding much color to our trip. Sanxingdui is incredibly popular; the crowds were immense. Without a guide, I doubt I could have lasted three hours. Teacher Liu led us through the throngs, introducing each important artifact one by one. From the details of the artifacts to the excavation process, from the manufacturing techniques to the underlying cultural concepts and information about cultural exchange, he explained everything in detail – it was truly eye-opening! His explanations were insightful yet easy to understand, giving the artifacts various nicknames, making them anything but boring. At the same time, he was incredibly knowledgeable, citing original texts and different academic perspectives with ease, even incorporating the latest academic developments from June 2025 into his explanations. He constantly refined his presentation, keeping things up-to-date – I'm so curious how he does it! I took notes the whole way, but the sheer volume of information meant my notes weren't complete; I'll have to find more relevant materials to supplement them later!

This trip was great with the kids! They wanted to go to the Panda Base, and I wanted to see the Leshan Giant Buddha. I'm so glad this itinerary was available! We originally booked a small group tour (2-8 people), but when we arrived, we found out we were the only ones there – nice! Our driver/guide, Mr. Shen, was excellent and very friendly. The day trip was a bit tight, but very fulfilling. Mr. Shen planned everything very well, accurately telling us the times, and then dropped us off at the hotel – saving us time and effort. It's perfect for families like ours with kids – very satisfied!

I joined a half-day tour to Chengdu Panda Base all by myself. The tour guide and the driver were absolutely awesome! The base is so huge, I definitely would’ve gotten lost if I went alone. So glad the guide took us around, and the tour even included a shuttle bus which was such a nice touch—didn’t feel tired at all after the visit! Saw heaps of giant pandas and red pandas, they’re insanely cute! Everyone should come see them, it’s totally worth it!


