We really enjoyed it! We had a guide, Thomas, who loves his job, so he took great care of us and explained everything in a very interesting way.
Reviews: Nagano Snow Monkey 1 Day Tour with Beef Sukiyaki Lunch from Tokyo

A rather unusual experience, a very magical and beautiful location with hot springs where monkeys live (absolutely calm and do not pay attention to people), but be mentally prepared for a long journey (4 hours one way).
Reviews: Nagano: Snow Monkeys, Zenkoji Temple & Sake Day Trip

We loved this tour! They were kind enough to pick us up in Nagano (we flew in the day before to Tokyo and were heading to Hakuba valley to ski - wanted to do the monkey tour on the way) and they dropped us back off in Hakuba afterwards so we didn’t need to get another bus or train to Hakuba! The food at lunch was like a 5 course meal! So nice! We learned so much history about Nagano and area including all the details of the Olympics that were held there. The tour guides were informative and spoke great English! Gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants and places to see around Nagano region. Great value for money!
Reviews: [Official Ticket] JR Tokyo Wide Pass 3-Day (Electronic Redemption Voucher)
Guest User2025-11-13
Ticketing was quick. From Narita Terminal 2, there's a dedicated ticket exchange counter at the railway entrance. The staff were very patient and clearly explained the validity period and coverage area. Three days is enough for several long-distance trips. To go to Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko, you can use the self-service machines outside Shinjuku Station to transfer to the Fuji Kaiyu Railway directly to Kawaguchiko Station. You can also go to Izu, but only with regular JR trains. Overall, it's good and quite convenient.

I don't think I can really convey how awesome our tour was. it all starts with the guide and driver, our guide Endo was the most sincere and knowledgeable local who invited us into his part of the world with open arms. we were lucky enough to have only the 2 of us on tour so it was really personal. the temple/town was incredible with such strong history of peace and war, the hike was unreal "very easy" fyi. but what a beautiful part of the world. thank you Endo for an incredible time, wish to see you again
