I registered easily and used it. I confirmed my seat before departure, but I intentionally made it a bit tight. Changing to a later time is no problem, but if you change to an earlier time, there may not be seats available. It's a long journey.

It's very convenient to purchase on trip.com. Everything is confirmed immediately, and you can pick it up at the designated locations in Hokkaido. We bought a 10-day pass, and in our case, it paid for itself. Plus, traveling is comfortable and easy, without having to worry about the details of planning.

We queued at the JR Green Counter at Narita Airport to exchange our tickets. We asked the female employee scanning the queue to confirm if we could exchange our tickets there, and she said yes. However, when we got to the counter, the staff said we couldn't exchange them there and had to go to the JR East Travel Service Center across the street. But that center didn't open until 8:30 AM, so we had to wait in line again. We saw many other travelers walking around in queues like us. Fortunately, the staff at the JR East Travel Service Center were very efficient and quickly processed our ticket exchange. They even asked if we had our travel plans and helped us reserve seats for our flights from the airport to Tokyo Station and from Tokyo Station to Echigo-Yuzawa, which was very thoughtful. The ticket price was excellent value, and we were generally satisfied, although the ticket exchange process was a bit confusing.

This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.

Tickets are issued instantly after purchase. At the station, simply show the QR code to the staff to redeem the physical ticket. You can ride the Keihan Railway, the Iwashimizu Hachimangu Ropeway, and the Eizan Electric Railway to Kifune Shrine. It's perfect for a day trip in Kyoto. First, visit Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, then explore Kyoto, and finally head to Kifune in the evening to see the night lights and the autumn leaves tunnel.

Easy to use. Just have to use the green ticketing machine at the JR station to redeem the JR pass. Using it to travel to and from Osaka and Hiroshima via the Sanyo Shinkansen already made the pass worth it!


