A long wait between the sleeper bus and the boat in Ratiza. The air conditioning was freezing cold on both the bus and the boat! But we made it, thank goodness 😂

The entire journey was very comfortable. The guide was incredibly friendly, like a friend, and even took great care of our seating position on the cable car.

A wonderful, well-organized trip. The water park isn't really my thing, but they included a free drink in the cable car ticket, so the waiting time while the others were having fun was easily manageable.

Overall, it's a decent hike; if you have the time and desire, it's a great option. However, if swimming is your priority, the first island doesn't have a good, clean swimming area (there are boats and motorboats everywhere), but the lunch is decent. Swimming on the last island is also impossible (it's all rocks and prohibited), so you can only shower and wash up.

The hotel picked us up on time in the morning, and our first stop was Mong Tay Island, where the water was crystal clear. Our second stop was Gam Ghi Island, where the underwater coral reefs were exceptionally well-preserved, and snorkeling equipment was provided free of charge. Lunch was a seafood BBQ on the island; the Vietnamese spring rolls and grilled shrimp were very fresh. Our final stop was May Rut Island, where we could relax and sunbathe or take a glass-bottom boat tour to see the underwater world. The tour guide provided commentary in English throughout and even helped with taking photos – very responsible! The day was fulfilling yet not tiring, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. A must-do when visiting Phu Quoc!


