Yongqing Temple is located in Chengmai County, Hainan Province, in the tourist area of Yingbin Peninsula. It is the first phase of the "Hainan Yongqing Cultural Tourism Scenic Spot" that has been completed. It covers an area of 80 acres and is a large-scale Buddhist temple in Qiongbei. Historically, Yongqing Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty and was one of the "Eight Sceneries of Chengmai" in ancient Hainan. According to historical records, there were Li Gang, Li Guang, Hu Quan, Su Dongpo and many other worthy officials and scholars who visited the temple, making it famous all over the place, and the sound of Dharma was spread all over Qiongzhou. Hainan Yongqing Temple has been destroyed many times in wars, then rebuilt, and then destroyed in the Cultural Revolution. In 2001, Chengmai County Party Committee and County Government decided to rebuild Yongqing Temple, and on April 22, 2009, it was successfully completed and a grand ceremony was held. Yongqing Temple was dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha, Amitabha Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Island Guanyin, Manjushri and other 42 bodhisattvas, all of which are carved from a single piece of Burmese white jade, have high artistic and cultural value, and have been highly praised by all sectors of society. Yongqing Temple was rebuilt by the sea, with blue sea and blue sky and pleasant scenery; the environment is quiet and the air is fresh. The five trees associated with Buddhism (Bodhi, Baye palm, sugar palm, Daqing, and betel nut), six flowers (frangipani, Manjusri, lotus, Huangmiangui, turmeric flower and Diyong Jinlian) and other plants are planted in the monastery , to highlight the grandeur, solemnity and tranquility of the green and Buddhist world, and achieve the realm of returning to simplicity and truth, and the unity of heaven, earth, man and Buddha. Create a traditional cultural tourism experience area with the theme of Buddhist self-cultivation and leisure.Chengmai · 28.8km from downtown

The Meilang Sisters Pagoda, also known as the Twin Pagodas, is located in the southeast of Meilang Village, Meiting Township, Chengmai County, Hainan Province. It is an ancient pagoda in the Yuan Dynasty. According to "Zhengde Qiongtai Zhi", Chen Daoxu, a native of the Yuan Dynasty, had two daughters, the eldest daughter was married, and the second daughter became a nun. He built this tower in memory of his two daughters. The tower is 17 meters high, one is a hexagonal long layer in plan, and there are six existing layers, imitating a wood structure attic. Each floor has a flat seat on the eaves of the tower. From the first floor to the third floor, there are 12 columns under the eaves of each floor, and there are bucket arches to support the fangs. From the fourth floor onwards, half-circle leaning pillars are hidden from the outer wall, there is no Buddha statue in the niche of the open-pointed coupon door, and a seated statue with a crown is carved in the center of the beard-string seat. The other one is quadrangular in shape and is divided into seven layers. The appearance and structure are the same as the upper tower, but more delicate. Each layer is engraved with Buddha statues in the outer walls and inner niches, with different postures. , lion, Xiezhi, tiger, horse, unicorn and other Ruishan and Buddhist patterns relief, the four corners are also carved with strong men's support. The two towers are 20 meters apart, and both have tall platform bases standing in the mountains and ponds, and there are railings around the platform. The overall shape of the tower is harmonious and beautiful, and there are changes to each other. The dozens of stone reliefs are exquisite and meticulous, and the images are lifelike, reflecting the social and secular life of the late Song and early Yuan Dynasty, and can be called the artistic treasures of the Qiongzhou Stone Pagoda.Chengmai · 17.4km from downtown

Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park And Botanical Garden

Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park And Botanical Garden is a wildlife park that offers a panoramic view of the island-type tropical rainforest ecosystem, nestled in the tropical jungle by the shores of Dongshan Lake. The park is divided into two major sections: the driving safari area and the walking safari area, displaying animals in a free-range natural setting that is completely different from the high-walled, iron-caged layout of city zoos. The driving safari area is the core experience here. Visitors drive through the free-range predator zone, where African lions, Siberian tigers, black bears, and other animals roam freely outside the vehicle windows, creating a unique sensation of "people in a cage, animals outside." Self-drive visitors can stop in designated areas to observe the animals up close, and those riding the park's tour bus can equally feel the thrill of predators just inches away. In the walking area, visitors can slow down and explore the panda world, the ligers and tigers exhibit, monkey mountain, and other zones one by one.The park's star animals each have their own highlights. Giant pandas Gonggong and Shunshun came to Hainan from Sichuan in 2018 and are a rare opportunity to see giant pandas up close in a tropical region; their process of adapting to the tropical climate is itself a major attraction. The ligers are also a signature population of the park — the park has accumulated extensive experience in the artificial breeding of ligers and is home to one of the larger liger groups in China. The Hainan Eld's deer, a rare deer species endemic to Hainan, can also be observed up close here. In addition, the park is home to a rich variety of tropical plants, and strolling through it offers a taste of the typical tropical rainforest landscape. Experience The attraction is mainly divided into the driving safari area and the walking safari area. The driving safari area breaks away from the caged-animal layout of high walls and iron bars found in city zoos, with various predators roaming freely in a natural setting. Visitors drive through the driving predator zone, fully experiencing the wondrous sensation of "people in a cage, animals outside."The star animals of the attraction mainly include: the national treasure giant panda, Hainan Eld's deer, Asian elephant, giraffe, African lion, Siberian tiger, liger, white-cheeked gibbon, Asiatic black bear, Père David's deer, macaque, hippopotamus, black swan, flamingo, and others. When visiting, it is recommended to explore the drive-through area first, then move on to the walking area. The drive-through area requires driving your own vehicle or taking the park's sightseeing bus through the entire route, and you can stop in designated areas along the way to observe the animals up close; the walking area is better suited for a leisurely stroll to take in the various rare animals in detail.Haikou · 25.3km from Chengmai

We brought the kids to see the flamingos 🦩 and squirrels 🐿, and they had a great time. However, the park is quite small and not worth a special trip. It's okay to stop by if you're passing through, since you can interact with the flamingos 🦩, which the kids really enjoyed.

The best scenic spot in Chengmai County, where the Buddhist holy land meets the coconut beach, is a different experience. There is also a free library in the temple, where you can cultivate your sentiments while watching the sea. The most important thing is that it is free throughout the whole process, without any charge items. It is very cost-effective.

Luoyi Village has a history of nearly 800 years. Many houses built with volcanic stones are still preserved in the village. Representative historical buildings include the Li Clan Ancestral Hall, Guanyin Temple, Li Hengqian's Former Residence, Buchanfang, Jiexiaofang, etc. It is very unique and worth a visit.

It is rare to find such a historic site in Hainan Island. The tower from the Yuan Dynasty is still well preserved and you can touch it yourself. It is a free attraction, free parking, and the road to the attraction has been repaved, which is quite convenient.

Hot hot hot but there was almost no one at the park on a weekday. The panda house was perfect - got to see him at meal time. Took the tram around the safari loop but it was a little sad at each stop (animals waiting for humans to arrive and hopefully feed them). I like how big the zoo is and diversity of animals.

The volcanic rocks are quite unique, but the scenery is very ordinary on a cloudy day, and it is a bit out of the way, so it is not worth going. It is not worth going if you are not interested in geology.

This attraction isn't overly commercialized. During the off-season, it's a great place to hike and take a walk. There are so many large butterflies, and you can even see geckos crawling on the walls. If you get tired or thirsty, you can buy an iced coconut to drink and rest. It's a great way to connect with nature. It's quite nice!

The Yingbin Peninsula is still worth recommending. The sea water is clear, the beach is white and fine, and the scenery is nice. It is a good place to take photos and check in. Especially when the sun is about to set, the photos are more beautiful. The temperature now is also very comfortable.
