The area north of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain is known as the North attraction of ​​Changbai Mountain. You can also take a shuttle bus to experience the rapid curves and then overlook the beautiful scenery of Changbai Mountain Tianchi from the steep main peak. Upon entering the attraction, you must first take an eco-friendly bus to the transfer center. From there, you can choose to take the shuttle bus on the left-hand road to view the main peak and Changbai Mountain Tianchi Lake, or take the eco-friendly bus on the right-hand road to view Changbai Waterfall. If the weather is good in the morning, you can go up to the main peak first when there are fewer visitors and take the shuttle bus (usually a Mercedes-Benz van, 20 minutes one-way) to experience the thrill of continuously and rapidly navigating the curves on the winding mountain road. After getting off the shuttle bus, it's about a ten-minute walk uphill to the top. There are two routes, A and B, with signs indicating them. Usually, you take route A to the top and then continue on route B to descend, avoiding backtracking. If time is limited, you can complete route A and then descend directly via the steps between the two routes. Take the eco-friendly bus from the transfer center directly to the waterfall parking lot (10 minutes one-way). Walk up the boardwalk for a short distance to see Julong Spring and Changbai Waterfall.That waterfall is the outlet of Tianchi Lake, and its 68-meter drop is truly spectacular.The hot spring plaza here sells uniquely flavored hot spring eggs, which you can try. You can also wash your hands in the nearby hot spring pool and experience the volcanic hot spring. It's a five-minute drive from the waterfall parking lot by eco-bus.Little Heavenly Lake,Little Heavenly LakeIt's a tranquil little lake, its surface reflecting the elegant forms of the trees. After lingering for a few minutes, you can return along the boardwalk, where you can see the Erdao Baihe River flowing through the narrow canyon. After about 15 minutes of walking, you'll reach the entrance to Green Abyss Pool. There's a large restaurant called Lanjing Fast Food here that offers lunch; it's located within the attraction, but the prices are relatively high. Green Abyss Pool is a pool of emerald green water, with a waterfall cascading down the cliff on one side. On the way back along the boardwalk after visiting Green Abyss Pool, you'll see Jade Spring. From the parking lot in front of Blue View Fast Food, it's a five-minute drive to...Entrance to the Valley ForestStrolling along the boardwalk through the primeval forest is very pleasant. At the end, you can overlook the forest that sinks into the valley, but you cannot go down to the bottom of the valley at present. The valley forest is the closest scenic spot to the mountain gate. It is about a 40-minute drive from the attraction.Erdaobaihe TownIt's a major tourist hub, with various hotels, shops, restaurants, and bars, all reasonably priced. Upon entering the mountain entrance, you can take the eco-friendly bus directly up the mountain to see Changbai Mountain's Tianchi Lake, with a ride lasting about 45 minutes. From the parking lot of the mountain's eco-friendly bus, you'll need to hike up 1,440 steps to reach the summit, taking approximately 20-30 minutes. If you're not up for the physical challenge, you can opt to pay for a sedan chair ride up. Staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel allows you to enjoy the hot springs downstairs, with unlimited access every day. The natural hot springs are excellent. Special thanks to Wang Rongmei, the staff member, for their attentive and warm service. This trip was very pleasant and highly recommended. I would love to come back again next time.

Changbai Mountain, true to its name, is incredibly clean! The restrooms in all areas were spotless, with sensor-activated flushes and hot water for handwashing – a truly touching experience for an autumn/winter trip. The restrooms had different themes, such as sables and black bears, adding a touch of vibrancy. We arrived a little late; most of the leaves had fallen, and it was the dry season, so the waterfalls weren't at their most beautiful. The small Tianchi Lake wasn't worth visiting yet; it's small, the water quality is so-so, and the surrounding forests are bare. Overall, the autumn air was crisp and clear. The 50-kilometer stretch from the distribution center to the transfer center was beautiful, vibrant with color, and Tianchi Lake was stunning. I especially loved the forest at the bottom of the valley; the pine scent was wonderful! I highly recommend walking to the end; there are vast, fairytale-like forests there, and we were lucky enough to encounter foxes and quite a few chipmunks along the way!

It's definitely worth a visit. The reindeer are all very well-behaved, so don't be afraid they might hurt you. They're all very affectionate. The biggest issue is that the male reindeer were in heat, so the smell was quite strong, but everything else was great. The kids loved it!

In the Changbai Mountain North Slope Scenic Area, there is a geothermal area called Julong Hot Spring along the plank road, but it is very small. I put my hand in to try it out, and sure enough, the water is hot. The sign next to it says that the hot spring water is 85℃, but it doesn't seem to be that high.

Changbai Mountain's Xiaotianchi Lake, nestled in southeastern Jilin Province, forms the border between China and North Korea. The northern portion of the lake, located within Jilin Province, forms the source of the Songhua River. Located 3 kilometers north of Changbai Waterfall, Xiaotianchi Lake comprises two distinct lakes. One, nestled in a tranquil birch forest at an altitude of 1,780 meters, is circular, 5,380 square meters in area, and over 10 meters deep, its waters emerald green. About 200 meters from Xiaotianchi, another circular lake of similar size lies, though its water is much shallower, only a few meters deep. Sometimes it dries up, revealing the yellowish soil. From a vantage point, one azure blue, the other a crimson yellow, resembles a pair of gold and silver cups, earning the nickname "Double Cup Lake," a uniquely beautiful sight.
