Stayed here during my trip and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the location is excellent with easy access to Minatomirai attractions. The view from the hotel is also very nice, especially at night 🌃
The staff were polite and service was smooth throughout the stay. Facilities are well maintained and the room was comfortable.
However, one thing to note is that the hotel is quite strict with check-out timing. I requested for a late check-out (even just 1 hour), but it was not allowed. So do plan your timing properly to avoid rushing.
Overall, still a great hotel and I would recommend it for its cleanliness, location, and comfort 👍
We had a great stay here and really enjoyed the experience. Check-in was easy and efficient, either via the self check-in machine or with staff assistance.
The lobby has a cozy, MUJI-style ambiance and provides all the basic necessities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, tea bags, lotion, and more. You can also borrow a face steamer or hair dryer near the lobby lifts, which is a nice touch.
On the second floor, there are drink vending machines, an ice machine, and two washer–dryer machines. One note: I don’t recommend using the dryer—it took us almost 2 hours to dry our clothes.
The room itself is standard but comfortable. A big thank you to the staff for reading and preparing for my special request in advance—I truly appreciate the effort and attention to detail. The toilet is clean and spacious, WiFi connection is good, and everything was well maintained.
Breakfast is provided, and you’ll need to bring the voucher with QR code to scan before entering. There’s a good variety of Japanese and Western food, so it’s easy to find something you’ll enjoy.
Overall, we really loved our stay here and would definitely come back again on our next trip. Highly recommended! 😊
I originally planned to stay one night in Hakone, but after checking some guides, I realized there were so many attractions. So, I decided to book an extra night. Apparently, booking two separate nights doesn't guarantee you the same room. The front desk lady spent quite a while checking her computer to arrange a single room for me. Next time, I'll remember to book both nights at once. It might have been because of the Chinese New Year period when there are lots of guests checking in.
Hakone is perfect for a one-night, two-meal stay. Since the attractions in Hakone are spread out, it's best to spend the day fully immersing yourself in sightseeing. If you get hungry at lunchtime, just grab some snacks to save time, and then enjoy the hot springs and buffet at the hotel in the morning and evening. The rooftop hot spring might use regular hot water, but it wasn't too crowded, and they had some toiletries and skincare products, so I just decided to wash up there instead of in my room.

The hotel was located a bit further out from the main attractions. However, with that its also at a quieter area and nice break away from the touristy area. Because of the location, it is also convenient to get to the Gotemba outlet mall. There’s a mountain view outside the balcony. A convenience store and bus stop just right outside the hotel. We felt the breakfast served was underwhelming, and the same food was served on the 2 days we were there.
The hotel was spacious and really clean, interior design was beautiful. The hotspring was really nice as well.
The staff recommended the Izakaya restaurant called Monta, just few minutes walk from the hotel. The food was really good and open till 12am!

My friend and I stayed here. We appreciated having a separate toilet and bathroom. The power outlet placement was a bit inconvenient, but we were able to rent an extension cord, which made charging devices easy. Ice was also readily available from the front desk. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to Kannai Station (Subway and JR) and Bashamichi Station (Minatomirai Line). With many late-night dining options nearby, we had no trouble finding dinner. We had a very pleasant stay.

Our Hakone trip's biggest surprise was definitely staying at the Ashinoko Hanaori ryokan. The entire experience was fantastic, far exceeding our expectations. I especially want to highlight the rooms, the food, and the private onsen!
The rooms were surprisingly spacious, a clever blend of Japanese and Western styles. Even with family, it never felt cramped. The furnishings were exquisite and tidy, and all amenities were well-provided. Sitting by the window, gazing at the beautiful Ashi Lake scenery, was incredibly relaxing.
The food was another huge plus for the ryokan. The buffet breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety, featuring fresh local ingredients. There were both characteristic Japanese dishes and delicate desserts, all with a refined and authentic taste. If you book in advance, you can even dine with a lake view, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
But the private onsen was the absolute highlight – amazing value for money and incredibly private. The bathwater was warm and soothing, and soaking in it completely relaxed my body, washing away all travel fatigue. Taking a dip in the private onsen at night, accompanied by the tranquil night sky and a gentle breeze, created an utterly immersive and therapeutic atmosphere.
The ryokan's convenient location was the icing on the cake. It's directly opposite the Togendai transport hub, making travel incredibly easy. Whether you're heading to Ashi Lake for the pirate ship, or taking the ropeway and buses to various attractions, you don't need to go out of your way – the boarding points are within walking distance, saving a lot of hassle. What was especially convenient was that our plan for the next day was to travel from Hakone to Mount Fuji. We could take a direct bus from Togendai to Gotemba; the schedule was convenient, the journey smooth, and there was no need for extra transfers, which significantly saved travel time and made our trip more worry-free and efficient. The ryokan's service was also very thoughtful. The overall experience was excellent, suitable for both family trips and romantic getaways. It's definitely our top choice for accommodation in Hakone, and we'll certainly stay here again next time!

Well-located Hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Don’t believe the other reviews, the smoking rooms smell like smoke a lot. Guess that’s my problem for booking late though. What I am really unhappy about is the washing machines. They are more expensive than going to a coin wash somewhere else. They require you to fill out a super long form (in Japanese) for every single machine. And they do not wash well. I expect more from hotel amenities.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a five-minute walk from Lian Zhuang Station. The rooms are incredibly clean and well-maintained, with refined and complete facilities, including a bathroom perfect for a hot spring soak. Plus, they offer complimentary late-night snacks, which is a very thoughtful touch.

The hotel is very close to Sakuragicho Station, Yokohama Air Cabin, and Minato Mirai.
The room at the end of the hotel offers a beautiful view of Mount Fuji.
It's also quick to get to other Kanagawa cities like Kamakura and Zushi.
The hotel is fairly clean, just a bit small, but you can't expect too much from a standard business hotel.
There's a 24-hour 7-Eleven downstairs, which is very convenient.
Overall, the value for money is pretty good.
If I visit again, I'd probably choose this hotel.

The hotel was right next to Gora station which made it super convenient to get to after a long day exploring Hakone. The staff was very friendly and fleunt in english, they explained in depth on their facilities and gave us a map of the hotel and guidelines on onsen etiquette. Our room was on the 6th floor; a bit far from the reception area but the view from my room made up for it. Room came with Yukatas to wear and many free amenities (such as toothbrush, comb, shampoo etc. As well as a matcha tea set in my room). The dinner was fantastic where you could choose between 2 different meals types which was both served as a 9 course meal. Room was spacious and provides regular beds as well as traditional futon beds. The outdoor bath included in the room was very nice especially in the cold weather when we visited. The bath had abit of algae on it but it wasnt a deal breaker, the bath also included privacy blinds. The private onsen was nice and quiet, but I would say a tad too small as it could fit 2 people in at a time, possibly 3. But overall the experience was fantastic and I would definitely come back again if visiting Hakone.

Amazing
GGuest UserThis trip went to stay at a unique hot spring hotel that has just opened. Rooms with natural hot springs and private gardens can watch movies in the open air in the private garden. Privacy is good to be protected! The Tsuruyoshigawa Hotel is hidden in the fishing village of the Manazuru Peninsula, the room is new, the garden and pond on the first floor are very nice, and it is very beautiful to relax and look at the pond while drinking coffee. The sunlight was illuminated by the surface of the water, making me feel relaxed at once. The most unforgettable thing was the smiles and warm and kind service of all the staff during the stay. Dinner and afternoon tea are unique to the seaside, and I was particularly impressed that there was such a luxurious dinner in the fishing village. All the staff at the restaurant were very polite, the service was fine and the food was really delicious and an extraordinary experience. I would like to go again if I have the opportunity.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located by the sea, but you can't see the sea from the rooms; you have to walk across the street. The rooms face the street, and the soundproofing isn't great; you can hear cars driving by all night, and occasionally motorcycles yelling.
The hotel rooms are relatively large for a Japanese hotel, and each has a Jacuzzi.
The staff service was exceptionally good. It was the first time I'd encountered a hotel where you could choose your own shower gel and shampoo brands—the selection was overwhelming! You could also choose your own welcome drink, and they even gave you a souvenir upon check-out.
The hotel's location isn't particularly convenient, situated between two subway stations, about a ten-minute walk away. The hotel offers a shuttle service, allowing you to choose one of the two nearest stations.
GGuest UserBecause it was close to Togendai Port, we took the hotel's shuttle bus! It was the best. It was the best hot spring trip, as I could enjoy the open-air hot springs in peace. It was the best. The accommodations were cheaper than the surrounding area, but I was impressed by the high-quality hot springs and great location. It was the best.
GGuest UserThe hotel is cheap and good. It should be said that the room size is the largest among Japanese hotels. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. There is a mountain view outside the window, and the field of vision is relatively wide. It is relatively comfortable to live there. As the flight was delayed, it was already early in the morning when we arrived at the hotel, but the staff was still very welcoming. It's just that the hotel does not have Chinese service, so you need to know a little Japanese to communicate.
~~yida~(Lurking)The environment is very good, the hotel is a pleasant experience on the mountain. There are indoor hot springs in all rooms. We live in Room 11 and have a lot of space about 35 square meters. There is a lounge for a smooth drink and food in the hotel, and the breakfast is very good. Will come again next time.
