The day I went, the Shamiantang was not open, so I could only look at the periphery. There is a very beautiful historical building next to the Shamiantang: the former site of the Chinese Deputy Salt General Inspection. Built in the early Qing Dynasty, the reinforced concrete structure, the neoclassical architectural style, is the most advanced and luxurious residential building in Shamian. Walking up the creaking wooden stairs, I saw a luxurious iron door with black gold, and a list was sandwiched on it. Take a closer look at the reminder of water charges.
