San Jacinto Battleground State Historical Park Review

A monument to America's internal triumph, a tall obelisk structure, a distance from downtown Houston, and a historic park that commemorates a century-old war.

San Jacinto Battlefield National Historical Park, located on the eastern outskirts of Houston. Texas, fought against Mexican rule to set off the war of independence. The Battle of San Jacinto was a major battle of the Texas War of Independence (April 21, 1836). General Houston led the Texas Army to a defeat by the Mexican Army, forcing Mexico to recognize Texas independence. Later, Texas joined the United States of America and became Texas. It is designated as the San Jacinto Battlefield Memorial, and everything remains in place except for the erection of a tall monument. The monument has an elevator up to the tower overlooking the entire battlefield and the distant moored warship Texas. Each year, on the last weekend of April, the memorial is held, and the two teams, playing the Texas and Mexican forces, meet here.

The National Historic Park was set up by the state capital. It used to be a battlefield of the civil war. It was also a memorial to the previous war. There were few people and it was meaningless.
