Rusheng Earth Building Review

Go to Longyan for a business trip, and go to Yongding Tulou by the way. There are many earth buildings in this scenic spot, and there are round squares. The Rusheng Building is the smallest of the earth buildings. It is a earth-made round building. It is opposite Fuyu Building across the stream. This building is small because it is small. Many people call it "pocket earth building". The building was built in 1901, the owner is surnamed Lin, there are three floors, each floor has 16 rooms, including granary, dining room, kitchen, and a well.

The structure and function of the earth building fully meet the special needs of this smallholder economy. The building has wells, kitchens, warehousing, bedrooms, grain processing rooms, firewood rooms, pig and cattle houses, toilets and other facilities. The whole family enjoys the joy of family reunion for generations while getting basic life security.

The owner of the building, Lin Gaolin, originally lacked housing, and then had a dream: a round of red sun fell here, he thought that the building was good, so he tried his best to raise funds, and it took three years to build this smallest round building. The name "like rising" has a deeper meaning - like the sun rises, bright years

如升楼被亲切地誉为“袖珍土楼”《大鱼海棠》里如是说道：人死后身体会变成泥土 灵魂会游到最北边的如升楼 然后化成小鱼 由灵婆看管小巧玲珑的如升楼，顾名思义，就像客家人昔时用竹筒做成的量米器具“米升”，呈单圈结构，楼底直径仅有8米，从河对岸的福裕楼可以眺望到这座其貌不扬的袖珍建筑。据说楼主林高林原先缺少住房，后得一梦：一轮红日下落此地。他认为此地建房好，便千方百计筹措资金，自己出工挑土用了三年时间才建成这座最小的圆楼。屋内天井圆形，屋顶瓦面内侧连缘为八卦形，外侧边缘为圆形。

如升楼是永定土楼中最小的圆楼，位于福建省龙岩市永定区湖坑镇洪坑土楼文化民俗村内的洪川溪边，与福裕楼隔溪望。如升楼建于1901年，坐东朝西，单环，楼高3层，直径23米，小巧玲珑，被游客称为“袖珍土楼”。

据说,取名“如升楼”还有更深一层意思，那就是寄托楼主的美好祈愿——如日东升，光明万年
