Before going to Greece, friends recommended that you must go to the Sky Monastery (Medeola Monastery), which is at the apex of huge mountain rocks. On the almost inaccessible peaks, monks have been practicing on these steep peaks like pillars since the 11th century. In the 15th century, the hermits selected these "pillars of the sky" and built twenty-four monasteries. These monasteries are also known as Sky Monastery. Medeola Monastery was listed in the World Heritage List in 1988, and the monastery maintains ancient features, with ancient statue murals, sheepskin scrolls and other ancient artifacts. We visited the largest monastery, the passage from the mountainside has reduced the steepness, but the construction of such a scale on the mountain is really breathtaking! The monastery has a museum, a wine workshop, and a beautiful main hall (photographing is prohibited). Although the monastery's wine workshop is now only for display, there are wines for sale in the monastery souvenir shop. I bought a bottle of red wine and it tasted good.
