天门张家湖常水位26.5米，常水位水岸线全长约38.5公里。湖滨带曲折优美，分为人工堤坝和自然缓坡两部分。它们既是陆域污染入湖的最后屏障，也是湖泊生物多样性最为丰富的区域。

陆羽故园，坐落于湖北省天门市中心城区，依茶圣陆羽出生地竟陵西湖而建，是一座以茶文化为主题、为纪念茶圣陆羽而建的开放式景区，是国家AAAA级旅游景区“茶圣故里园”的核心景区。陆羽故园始建于1995年，原名“西湖公园”、“陆羽公园”，2013年重新改造后对外开放。陆羽故园是湖北省茶文化旅游示范区、江汉地区最大的城市公园，定位为国际茶文化旅游中心。园内有茶经楼、陆羽纪念馆、古雁桥、西塔寺、樱花大道等景点。
