There are not many historical attractions in Lusen, and the dying lion is like one of the more famous. The sculpture of the lion is located in a small park near Lusen Lake. A tall lion fell to the ground in pain, an arrow deep into its back, alongside a shield with the Swiss national emblem, created to commemorate the thousands of Swiss mercenaries who died in the battle to defend the Durres Palace in Paris in 1792.
