This is the best, hands down okazuya in Hilo. It is consistent good! Terrific choices, good prices, fast & friendly service! I eat there at least once a week!

You will never find better tasting Japanese take-out than at Kawamoto Store. The trick is to go early, immediately after they open. They sell out quickly, and for good reason. You cannot imagine better flavors. Once you try them Trippers, it becomes your gold standard. Beware. This is another of those incredible hole-in-the-walls that everyone talks about, but few ever have the privilege of trying. Go early. I'm not kidding.
