Canyonlands National Park is located at the confluence of the Green River and Colorado River in southeast Utah. It is a sandstone tower and canyon formed by river erosion and wind, frost, rain and snow for many years. It has become one of the world's most famous erosion areas, known for its treacherous peaks and strange rocks. It was officially built in 1964 as a park covering an area of 1366 square kilometers.[1] The park is divided into three parts, the northernmost, the entrance near the town of Moab called the Air Island District, the southernmost called the needle point scenic spot, and the westernmost called the maze scenic spot. It is a vast, vast wilderness.
