Going north is both the Bagwarti Temple (Bhagwati Temple), with a three-story roof, and many precious statues were treasured in the temple in the early days of the temple construction, but unfortunately some were stolen in 1766. Soon after the Shah's first king, Narayan, reunited Nepal, he dedicated his treasured Bagwarti to the temple. Every April, the statue is sent to the village of Nuwakot, 65 kilometers from Kathmandu, where there is a grand Hindu festival.
