Adelaide Gaol Review

The old gaol is set within Bonython Park. Some of the prison buildings have been kept in hauntingly authentic style, particularly the New Wing where executions took place. The tower, another place of execution at a later date, and the graveyard between the inner and outer prison walls, are also very moving places. There’s information about the inmates and the trials, some of which were based on highly flawed evidence by today’s standards.
