Tabarka, located on the northwest coast of Tunisia, is famous for its coral, sea fishing, underwater photography, and jazz music. The ancient fortress was formed in the 16th century on what was once an independent island. The Genoese Fortress is strategically located, guarding the area. Climbing to the top of the fortress offers a panoramic view; Italy is really not far away, and you can see the entire city of Tabarka. Opposite the fortress is Needle Rock, a uniquely shaped formation where many people come to relax and enjoy the view at sunset. The beach west of the Tabarka Fortress is outstanding, gathering many resort hotels. The most famous is La Cigale Hotel, known for its thalassotherapy and golf. The spa area offers a distant view of the Genoese Fortress, and the seawater with three different temperatures provides extreme relaxation.
