I visited Shimla during April end. The temperature was neither too hot nor cold at that time. I started from Chandigarh and reached Shimla by cab. It was repugnant as all the roads were under construction due to which all greenery is vanishing on the way. I booked an apartment through AIRBNB. It was somewhat far from the main city but the stay was enjoyable. There are limited options to explore in Shimla. I visited Mall Road, The Ridge, Lower Bazaar, Tibetan Market, Lakkar Bazaar and Jakhoo Temple. It is advisable not to carry anything while visiting Jakhoo temple as there are lot of monkeys ready to play with you there. One can enjoy delish street food in Lower & Lakkar Bazaar. Around Shimla, one can explore nature and its beauty. River Rafting in river Satluj ( Chaba, Shimla ) was a delighful escapade. One can also enjoy Horse riding in the hills of Naldhera. I visited Hatu peak, Narkanda and the view was magnificent. It is located at an elevation of 11,152 ft above sea level. At last, grabbed the toy train from Shimla to Kalka. The Kalka-Shimla Railway line comes under UNESCO world heritage site. Some things to remember :) -> Carry umbrella with you to avoid torrential rains in Shimla. -> Purchase Himachali cap as a souvenir. -> People are polite and humble in Shimla!!! ✨Toy Train✨ or Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is a very small train with a gauge of 610 mm (2 feet) and is also a heritage line. This route starts from Kalka to Shimla, passing through many scenic spots, tunnels, and mountain curves, gradually ascending. If you visit during the snowfall season, it's incredibly beautiful, absolutely stunning. Although the snow had melted when we visited, the lush green forests, cool weather, and scenic views along the way were still refreshing. ♥️If you're in India and want to move on from old memories, I highly recommend this route.♥️

Shimla is a famous movie shooting place for Bollywood movies, but with foreign visitors Shimla is not very well known. I visited this beautiful city in the mountain of northern India a few months ago. Besides the big yellow church on Mall road there are plenty of other hidden gems to find here, such as Tenzin Monastery. The views from here are breathtaking!
